When we work with levels outside of the material realm, definitions and concrete concepts become less and less of a thing the higher or more subtle you go. Somewhere else in my writings I spoke about how consciousness can be divided into three different levels of experience - Dimensional, Fluid and Non-dimensional. Because we have operated and been conditioned to respond to the world of dimensionality, we’ve become accustomed to a level of certainty with how we define the things we know. That tree is shaped like a tree, and has all the conditions of a tree, therefore it is a tree. I am here, that tree is there, therefore I am me and that tree is tree. There are levels of ethericity and astrality which can also be like this, but the majority of existence outside of the material realm operates in a more fluid way.
Fluid-dimensionality is where the definition of what a thing is is certain in it’s uncertainly. A tree is a tree, but what the experience of that tree is can in no way be purely objectived. A tree can be a tree, AND a sky, AND a red, AND a downwards AND an emptiness. Things can not only be something else, but they can seem to be multiple different things at the same, often times in paradox to their initial experience. This is due to the malleability of the “material” (and I use that word in the loosest sense) of those planes. Which is why an experience of the essence, or the energetic signature (not to be confused with the sigil of a thing) is so important, because at this level, things do not change. The essence of a thing is a non-changing attribute. The way that the essence can exhibit itself, be it through the changing nature of astral realms or the personal lens through which the essence is filtered, is only “skin-deep”. The decoration that is placed upon a force’s essential nature can be extremely varied, and an attitude of humility, curiosity and zero-assumption is required when operating at these levels.
A personal example. For a long time the experience I had of a particular universal aspect was one of white soft holding. I would be bathed in this soft, golden-white-bluish light, things in my heart would melt, and it would position me in a way for a great opening. Along-side this experience I would always go through phases of pure, sharp, violent, fire. This piercing sword of Truth that would cleave through all illusions and reveal the fiery nature within all things. It took years for me to realise that these two experiences were of the same force. They were experientially vastly different aspects of the same force, yet when I had the muscle to source both of these experiences back, I came to the same essence.
The same being.
So I have awkwardly been trying to avoid using the term “beings”. I will often avoid using the word being because the word gravity around it is immense. If I said a “nature force”, the image conjured up would be of some kind of movement in nature. Unthinking, un-emotional, force of natural will. If I said a “nature being”, no doubt an image of the wee winged folk would not be far from the inner screen of your imaginative cinema. When we use the term “being”, we associate to it in an anthropomorphic way. Perhaps it has eyes and legs, maybe it is angry, or fierce, or happy or sad. Generally we wouldn’t associate to forces in this way. We might say “it was an angry force”, but not meaning that the force itself was angry but that it exhibited qualities that we would associate to anger.
Enter our beautiful deconstructor of forms, the fluid-dimension. Over the years my experience of forces and beings have become so co-mingled that I have gotten to the point where often-times they are the same thing. The force of white light, is a being. The being of pure light is a force. And not only this, due to the combinessent nature of beings and forces in non-material realms, a force can be issued forth from a being, but when you experience the granularity of the force - the “particles” of the force if you will - they will be tiny beings! Or when you source the experience of a being, you’ll come to a universal force. And then that force will be made up of a cominessence of beings. And a “singular” being will in fact be a multitude of beings and forces.
Why does this matter? Because from our point of a view, a being is something that for whatever reason, makes it easier for us to interact with, than a force. The seeming impersonality of a force might be a conceptual hurdle for some people to overcome in relating to it. But in turn, our habitual nature of relating to the being as we do to humans limit our experience of it and can prevent the groking of the function this aspect of consciousness provides.
When experiencing a force, or any aspect in your meanderings through the spiritual realms, it is often a good practice to “find the being” behind the quality, or the presence of a being. When we do this, we are essentially gearing into the intelligence behind the force or aspect or quality. Over time, this function of consciousness becomes second nature, and the force and the being, or the force and the presence will be the same thing. A further step in this direction would then be to find the functionality of the being, the level of operation, or know-how, that this being holds. Because at this level we are moving towards a purer, perhaps, understanding of what it is that we are actually encountering.
Beings or force….does it matter? Not really. But where the concept of forces and beings meet is possibly a more accurate understanding of what forces of consciousness are. They are not anthropomorphic, they are not evolved or un-evolved versions of humans. They are forces which operate as a function of an intelligence. Whether you wish to call that a being, is up to you, but to anthropomorphise things at this level would potentially limit your experience of the aspect. What matters is that we don’t take things at face value. And this is an attitude that is so important to continue to refine and cultivate as we walk a path geared towards spiritual exploration. We must always be ready to have what we understand to be real to be deconstructed at all times. Today’s definition is tomorrow’s un-truth. Because the real missed opportunity for anyone who comes face-to-face with a god, is to be distracted by their beauty, and miss the grandeur of what we are truly experiencing about ourselves.
